Alex Waddington
Senior Associate
Alex joined Pharus’ London office in January 2022 as an Analyst. He works across M&A transactions and financings in a range of technology sectors, with a particular focus on Media & Broadcast Technology, the Creator Economy, and Data & Analytics. He is also involved in business development initiatives across these areas.
In addition, Alex evaluates venture investment opportunities for Pharus’ investment arm, Pharus Ventures, which invests in early-stage software companies.
Prior to joining Pharus, Alex worked at a FinTech company assessing global buy-side opportunities for large private equity funds across Europe and North America.
Alex holds an MSc in Finance and Accounting from Imperial College London and an MA (Hons) in Economics from the University of St Andrews.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys playing squash, football, and skiing, having grown up near the Alps in Munich. He maintains an interest in golf, though with a healthy appreciation for the gap between enthusiasm and ability. Alex is also passionate about music and has played the accordion since the age of six.
Alex is responsible for M&A transactions and financings across a variety of technology sectors, as well as business development efforts in the Media & Broadcast Technology and Data & Analytics sectors.
