Seth Orlow
Senior Advisor
Dr. Seth Orlow serves as a Senior Advisor at Pharus, advising companies, boards and investors on domestic and cross-border M&A, including sell-side and buy-side transactions, strategic alternatives, licensing and financings, with particular expertise across dermatology, pharmaceuticals, aesthetics, consumer health, personal care, and beauty.
Dr. Orlow is an Independent Director of publicly traded Almirall, S.A., where he is the founding Chair of its board committee charged with oversight of R&D and M&A. He also serves on the board of R2 Technologies, developer of the Glacial® medical-aesthetics platform.
In 1995, Dr. Orlow co-founded Anaderm, a cosmeceutical discovery company that was acquired by its major shareholder, Pfizer, in 2002. From 2001 to 2010, he progressed from Advisor to Partner at Easton Capital Partners, a venture capital firm focused on healthcare and consumer products. At Easton, he participated in the sourcing, evaluation, financing, board oversight and exit of investments in numerous companies.
Dr. Orlow served for 20 years as Chair of the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where he remains a professor of dermatology, cell biology and pediatrics. He has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific and medical publications. He earned an AB, magna cum laude, in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard College and an MD and PhD in Molecular Pharmacology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He holds FINRA Series 63 and 79 registrations.
